parenting a kid with neurodivergence is like having another full time job. And most of what you experienced as a kid in regards to how to parent either doesn't work or is actively unhelpful, so you also have to work on yourself. And then on top of that, fascism.

Finally ready to glaze. No crazing. Been months of disappointment and testing; ready to make the jump on work that I have been sitting on for the better part of a year. The most exciting thing for me is that sense of moving forward, of having a language I can use as I make.

Yes, they are wrong. But pointing out that we think that they’re wrong is misspent energy, like pointing out GOP hypocrisy: deaf/dumb ears. Wouldn’t we be better off reading/writing how best to fight, sustain our sanity, ect?

Agreed. I find stability is key now, even in my own small daily world. But it makes me think that in order to keep stable it would be better to be around people, talk on the phone, etc. There’s still too much disconnect on socials to really feel human, but with all of the bad stuff.

Never sure how to respond to this, and I sometimes think of it myself.

At least there’s still kindling to crack.

Country’s being pulled apart; feels weird to be making anything in the studio. Or trying to “better” oneself. (I see these things working in tandem) Sturdy leadership, as a parent, is getting harder by the day. Sometimes hour.
