Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

Releasing those files seems to be the only thing that scares him. I hope it keeps him up at night when his wilting brain recalls some cruel indignity he forced on a girl. Guilt stalks him in the dark hours he spends with his fear of knowing the consequences before his last breath.

Jesus. Fucking. Christ. Like he's looking for parking meter change in the goddamn couch, but it's millions of dollars for him to arbitrarily reward who he deems to be loyal that raid from some other pocket of taxpayer money. Which he probably won't do because it won't go to him and his buddies.

It happens a lot 'round here.

Democrats Can't Blame Trans People for Their Own Failures Despite the attempts by so many in the party's establishment to paint trans rights as a toxic issue, transphobia was soundly rejected across the country this week.

this looks like a trick daffy duck would put up to get bugs bunny into "the oval office"

Waiting for someone to ask him about Mississippi so he can say he's never heard of that state.

If there's an overton window, I suppose last night was an example of overton defenestration for conservative ideolgy.

What We Lost When Condé Nast Unceremoniously Shuttered Teen Vogue This article is part of TPM Cafe, TPM’s home for opinion and news...

if you want to know what happened to Teen Vogue yesterday, my work wife @allegrak.bsky.social — who ran our politics section for 6 years until this past June — said it all in this.

can't even pull out a favorite part til I sign my separation letter lol, just read the whole thing.

The Black Friday Sale preseason skirmishes are looking a little lackluster this year. I remember when Bass Pro Brawls involved at least two displays being thrown down on people and one person being dunked in the giant fishtank before security could be notified.

Thank you for responding and thank you for refunding the tickets for me and my husband. I understand that sometimes things malfunction, but please communicate what's going on to the audience. If we knew what was happening I would have felt much better about my first time at the Plaza.

as we reach the SNAP cliff just a gentle reminder to do-gooders that the most efficient use of resources is to contribute to organizations that are already established. unless nothing exists in your area (and it likely does whether you know it) now is probably not the time to stand something up

...My husband and I drove two hours to see the nearest film print screening of Frankenstein and now I guess I'll have to wait to see it on Netflix instead. It's extremely disappointing to go to a historic theater and a place that should care more about cinema and presentation...

... No explanation. No offer to make amends. Staff all seemed busy with everything except maintaining the film in progress. I had heard amazing things about this theater and this was my first time going...

... What I did get to see was simply magical and a wonderful adaptation of the book. The experience was ruined by repeated interruptions between every reel and the last straw was when they skipped at least 20 minutes of the movie to start what appeared to be the very last reel of the film...

We tried to see the incredible Frankenstein directed by @realgdt.bsky.social today at @plazaatlanta.bsky.social but left after multiple problems with the reels with no explanation or apology from the staff...

A Return to Things A Thing Long Absent

A new post after a long absence. When the veil grows thin, sometimes our fingers can almost reach through. Some reflection and a small poem for the season.

Seems like it's worth pointing out that there were people at the No Kings protests handing out resource guides and providing ways to do more. Some people used it to build up a sense of community. They understand what it means to meet people where they are and not only where you want them to be.
