I'm begging people to learn the difference between "I don't want this" and "NOBODY wants this"

This administration, however, is harming so many. This is why it is important to have well funded education and teach people to think for themselves and critically, and why education is one of the many things they are attacking.

If your fear is of an entire group of people that aren’t harming anyone it is not founded. I understand that harm can be subjective, but pretty much all of the groups being attacked by the current administration in the US are not causing any harm as a group. 2/

Hate, Anger, insecurity are all things rooted in fear. It is important to examine this fear in one’s self or community and decide if it is founded or not. 1/

I know this is selfish to say, but I am so tired from the state of the world and it adding to a mounting pile of chronic stress I have had for years at this point. I wish humans would treat each other, other animals, and our planet better. Some are working toward that, but we need more to do so.

Billionaires shouldn’t be a thing.

I feel so helpless because I have chronic illness, and dealing with neurodivergent burnout, and make only enough money to make sure my family can pay for bills and necessities. But the Billionaires, the people who could help don’t. Instead they hoard their wealth like Smaug from The Hobbit. 1/

While I am not religious, I have a lot of Jewish heritage and feel a strong connection to some Jewish culture. That doesn’t make me blind to genocide though as it seems like it does to some.

The hate that is propelling the downfall of our country is frightening and exhausting. We had so many systems that needed changing and/or complete rehaul… but electing those on a platform of hate was not how to do it. Ugh. These shouldn’t be things that still need to be shouted, but they are.

The Indigenous peoples of the US deserve rights, their own land, and not to be treated horribly by colonizers who claim to be the natural citizens of this country.

Immigrants are people. Most of those that come to the US are just wanting to live their lives in a place that they were told was better. The US was built on the principle that immigrants should have a place to live (though I by no means support colonization.) Also 1/

Palestinians are humans and deserve rights, food, water, care, and a place to live. I am not anti-semitic, I am anti genocide. I cannot comprehend how anyone who understands the WW2 holocaust could justify what is happening to the Palestinian people. We should all be against genocide and hate.

The only groups of humans that deserve any negative treatment are groups that their entire philosophy is built on the hate of what they see as “others.” I realize this is not a new thought, but it feels like it bears repeating especially at a time like this.

I think I need to remind myself that nothing is going to go back to how it was before the pandemic and I need to allow myself to find a new “normal.” Why is this so hard to do?

Tfw you email your bosses because you have made some mistakes lately and you are scared they are disappointed in you, and you have a NEED for them to understand that you have been in a state of chronic stress for at least five years. It messes with one’s health.

I find it so interesting that terms/phrases such as “roll down the window” and “rewind” stay in use even though they originated with a specific action, and that actual action is no longer how it happens. Language is interesting!

This may be a little bit before I turned 21, but only by a few months so I can’t imagine I looked much different from this.

Cope with auditory processing issues (I have really good ears, but my processing can be very slow) I have learned to read lips, and that isn’t something I can do on a regular phone call. I also, as a kid, made many errors trying to call my school’s phone system, and that increased my anxiety a lot.

Honestly the death I was most upset about in the Game of Thrones tv show was Rhaegal. Don’t mess with my green dragons.

Technically I am a fairy dragon, not just a fairy, but sometimes I do call myself only fairy or only a dragon. It just depends on my mood and the moment.

Which made me happy, but I also have to wonder is @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social familiar with Flight of Dragons? I will say when I watched in adulthood they say “antiquity” so many times, but I still love Gorbash and have a silver acorn pendant inspired by the movie.

It was probably the first thing I remember watching with dragons and sparked my love of dragons. Gorbash was my favorite (green dragons are always my faves), though I liked it less when Peter was in his body. One of the guys on the episode knew Flight of Dragons and said it was his thing

Got @dropout.tv to watch to help reduce stress and I am watching Um Actually starting from the beginning. One of the spells in a Season 1 Shiny question was from Flight of Dragons, which made me happy because I grew up watching that and have not met many others who have seen it.
