My first love in life was literature and writing. Over the past decade, it has been an on/off relationship, but I returned to creative writing more consistently this year, and braved doing a thing! Excited to have a couple of poems accepted for publication in the next issues of Interfere Journal.

I don't think this is talked about enough - how incredibly validating the #QualitativeInterviewing process can be for the #Researcher, when the people for whom the research is intended talk about the value they see in your work.
This is the motivation that gets me through the bleakest #PhD days.

The University of Edinburgh’s Dr Claire Houghton is part of a new project to shed light on the challenges faced by deaf women in reporting or seeking help for domestic abuse. Deaf women are up to three times more likely to experience domestic abuse than hearing women.
