What a beautiful tornado! We saw this thing from over 30 miles away! We were able to watch the base of the storm from over 50 miles away as we approached. We found a good spot and it dropped right there.

Monday was certainly an adventure. There wasn't much for tornadic storms in SW Minnesota, NW Iowa. There were a few tornadoes that day, mostly in Wisconsin. We would have been in the right locations had the environmental conditions been favorable for supercell inflow-outflow balance. #mnwx

Any delay in the NSF funding process negatively impacts scientists, faculty, and (particularly) students. Timetables for field programs, experiments, and other research activities will slip.
