Quick shout-out to Fender for taking a couple of classic bass designs and sticking a battery door on the back in the most perfunctory way possible. At least they put it off in the corner. Maybe next time use white plastic? Just a thought.

I’m thinking about backplates! The plastic or metal panels that cover up the internal compartments (cavities) for the electronics in the back of an electric guitar or bass.

I was recently looking at their other guitars, and bass, but I missed this one. It seems to be “all the guitar you will ever need.”

This is the Blackstar carry-on guitar, with a 20.7” scale (18 frets) I purchased about a year and half ago. It’s the version where the neck and body are one piece, and it came with the amPlug 2 FLY headphone amp. It’s very nice, and easy to carry places, and I really should use it more often.

I always remove and take the toilet seat home with me when I am visiting. How else am I going to add to my collection?
