Ok so its one of those dept of health posters you find in bathrooms. Indeed it does, as did "kerosene": Readability wasn't the cause. They have animal- and plant-based lamp oil in the story and not a WHIFF of modern industry. I understood "shanghaied" bc it's just a fun word even though "whisked away" or somesuch also exist, but ...come on, kerosene?? Bad editing -.-
