Jen Pawol is set to become the first woman to umpire a game in Major League Baseball when she works games this weekend between the Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves.
Jen Pawol is set to become the first woman to umpire a game in MLB when she works games this weekend between the Marlins and Braves.
Pawol will work the bases in Saturday’s doubleheader and the plate on Sunday.
The 48-year-old from New Jersey worked spring training games in 2024 and this year.

Beyer Stadium was the home to the Rockford Peaches from 1943-1954, and the only ballpark consistently used in all 12 seasons of the AAGPBL. For the nearly 600 women who played, most would have played at Beyer during their careers.
