So, the Trump admin is defending the arrest of 5-year old Liam, and it plans to appeal the judge's decision. As for Liam, he's glad to be home & just wants to have a pizza. (As for me, I'm embarrassed and ashamed that my government thinks arresting 5-year olds is something worth fighting for.) 😡

Facts are facts: Bezos is gutting the Washington Post of more reporters. And laying off thousands of Amazon employees. But he has millions to spend on a vanity project for an audience of one. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, etc. 🦆🦆

Which makes matters even worse. So, money for fact-based journalism, nope. Money for workers, nope. But money to make Dear Leader happy, yup. [Makes my head hurt.]🤦‍♀️

So, Jeff Bezos wants to cut costs at the Post by laying off numerous reporters (what could possibly go wrong?); he also wants to lay off 16,000 Amazon workers. But he's got 40 MILLION to spend on a vanity "doc" about Melania, designed to please an audience of one. What's wrong with this picture? 🤔

Amazon cuts thousands of workers, but they've got millions of bucks to spend on this vanity project for an audience of one. Sad.

Let's not forget that Republicans played the long game: getting the Fairness Doctrine eliminated, taking ownership of talk radio (which is now 95% conservative), using Fox News as their media arm to disseminate their talking points, etc. By the time Dems did anything, the ship had sailed.

Former journalist here. In the before-times, this would have been page 1 or A-block material. Now, it's just another in the multitude of "flood the zone" stories. How can we elevate this? How do we get the MSM to recognize the danger in allowing the DOJ & FBI to arbitrarily grab up voting materials?

I don't know why this isn't a bigger national story. Having the FBI and DOJ eagerly do the bidding of POTUS by arbitrarily taking away GA voting materials seems like a dangerous escalation. All this to soothe the ego of a guy who cannot accept that he lost the 2020 election... 🤦‍♀️

Cannot believe all the snow we got today, and it still hasn't stopped. Can't even open the door to go outside. We've got more than 2 feet in greater Boston, I think. It's pretty, but the plowing we did earlier today? You'd never know it.
