Mom raised me to be courteous! Plus, coming from 4 decades in media, I'm accustomed to having the public reach out to me, and if they want to chat, why wouldn't I respond? I'm also pretty good about giving quotes when my media friends need them! 💕

Yes and no. The band did one or two very early gigs in Michigan & Pennsylvania, I believe. But their first concert gig right after they began getting radio airplay for the first time was indeed in Cleveland. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Meanwhile, the anti-tariff commercial was aired during game 1 of the World Series. 😊

I really miss the days when the rule of law was respected. These days, it seems there are two tiers of justice: one for friends of The Boss, and another for everyone else. Reminds me of that old quote, "For my friends, everything. For my enemies, the law."

If you are a Rush fan, I'm sure you'll join me in wishing the Toronto Blue Jays well. Geddy loves 'em and seldom misses a game. They're the underdogs this time around, but who knows what will happen? (I'm wearing the 1992 World Series shirt in this photo; I was speaking at a baseball conference.)

I was always a big fan of Stompin' Tom, by the way. Loved his music! Even played some of it when I was a deejay.

On most versions of Wordle there's a setting that lets you share your score. Just hit "share" & it copies the score to your clipboard. Then, when you come over to BlueSky, you can paste it in here (I just click on "paste," and there it is). If I'm explaining it wrong, I'm sure someone else can help!

And I didn't mention that I was from the US and an Associate Professor at the time (2019-2024), so teaching courses (like a grad seminar) was part of my duties, but I was paid extra for mentoring doctoral students or being on their dissertation committee.

Teaching. Regarding the PhD candidates I worked with, I mentored them, I showed them how to do research more effectively (still a teaching function), I encouraged them, and I read their rough drafts. Definitely teaching, as far as I can tell.

Does anyone in Dear Leader's administration really believe in the rule of law? They certainly don't seem to think it applies to them. It's just something they can use as a weapon on their political enemies. "For my friends, everything. For my enemies, the law."

Ouch. I hate when that happens. I lost a 188 game streak last year, and I was not amused. On the other hand, I started a new one, and I know that you will too.
