The US does not vaccinate for smallpox since it was eradicated globally. We keep a stockpile of vaccine for a just in case scenario. I know after 9/11 we had smallpox bio terrorism drills to see how long it would take to vaccinate a county here locally in an emergency.

“Why don’t young people come out to vote?” Welp, too often the options they have aren’t offering solutions to the problems they’re facing.

I was diagnosed with T1D when I was 27 in 2001. Early in the pandemic there was a study in Italy where they thought T1 was a protective factor for COVID. Then many were Dx w/it after having the virus. I think it was the steroids.

It's a scary time to be finishing my PH degree. I am starting my MPH in the Fall too. If we focus on data and share it in a way for the public to understand, I am hopeful we can overcome some of this. I don't think the general public has much faith in him.
