You may recall that in January of 2025, artist Ann Telnaes announced that she had quit The Washington Post after editors killed a cartoon that depicted owner Jeff Bezos, among others, genuflecting to Trump.

This cartoon feels even more relevant this week.

The man who told reporters it’s time to move on from the Epstein files won’t shut up about the 2020 election.

People like Donald get worse if they’re allowed to. His disgusting racism is increasingly blatant and dangerous because the Republicans, with their silence, encourage it. They are complicit in every awful thing they allow their hideous leader to do.

No wonder the orange toddler is unhinged once again.

The Obamas are competent, classy, loving, Harvard and Princeton graduates, loved by many, not on the Epstein files, got the Nobel Peace Prize, and gave us a steady economy to boot.

It is likely that Trump posted that AI video of the Obamas to distract from the Epstein files. But it is just as likely that the Trump family, witnessing the Melania film flop, is deeply envious of the success of Michelle Obama’s Becoming film.

GOP and Trump supporters are surprised that a racist man who has spent decades being racist is now racist.

Last night, the president of the United States shared a video on his Truth Social account portraying the Obamas as apes. I want to be unmistakably clear about why this matters. This is not a joke. This is not "edgy humor." This is not politics as usual. Comparing Black people to apes is one of the oldest, most poisonous lies in the history of racism. It is the foundational myth that has been used to justify slavery, segregation, lynching, and ongoing dehumanization. It is the lie that says some people are closer to animals and others closer to God. And this came immediately after a National Prayer Breakfast where Paula White-Cain stood at a microphone and declared that this same man is the greatest champion of Christianity America has ever known. We must lament and sit with that dissonance.

I am not going to repost the vile and racist image that Trump posted last night of President & First Lady Obama because it is beyond disgusting. Trump is a vile racist as is every Republican that continues to support him. I don’t want to hear mumbling from Mike Johnson or stoic silence from Thune.

Praying it was fake because it’s the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House. The President should remove it.

The fact that the President of the United States posts a racist video with an image depicting the Obamas as apes and we’re supposed to pretend it’s perfectly normal, everyday stuff shows exactly what is terribly wrong with today’s political mainstream media.

What would happen to the president of a university who posted a picture of the Obamas like Trump did? What would happen if ANY person in any position of importance posted that? They would immediately be fired and driven from town. This country is circling the drain.
