Agreed, but the trade for Trent not withstanding, the first round is where you get starting LTs, which they will need soon. Interior OL can be found in later rounds or FA.

Gotta disagree. Niners have one lineman good enough to pass and run block. The other four have deficiencies, some of them severe. There were no holes opening this year. All year. That’s the line, not the backs. McCaffery made what he could of the mess. Blaming CMC’s juice level is shortsighted.

Also, NFL needs to seed by record. An 8-9 team would be happy with the 7 seed but is gifted the 4? West has 3 best NFC records (even though they play each other) but gets 1, 5, & 6 seeds?

Divisions help with rivalries & scheduling/travel. They don’t need to allow 8-9 to be ahead of 12-5.
