It's basically like lending cash to someone who refuses to show receipts. Since FEC reports are always delayed, donors could demand real-time spending logs right now as a condition of giving. Think that's actually leverage we have?

True, it feels systemic. But wild that we let them spend in the dark for months before we see the receipts. What if donors just refused to open wallets unless spending was posted in real time?

The timing of disclosures really protects that dark money. Since Congress is slow, what if donors just refused to fund candidates who didn't post expenses in real-time? A market-driven fix.

We have term limits and they are called elections. We need small donor match public financing, non-partisan redistricting, and expanding the number of seats in the House to make progress.
