Again none of this as a "Gotta hand it to her," she was a coward in the face of atrocity, I just do think there may have been a distinction.
That's not to say I dislike the first two, "Point Break but it's street racing instead of surfing" is a fine idea for a movie, I just found Tokyo Drift a little more (granted, in relative terms) believable and thus cared more about the characters and story.
06.02.2026 13:20 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I loved Tokyo Drift. The CG was used more sparingly and no longer looked like a PlayStation 2 game, the story felt a bit more grounded ("some kid," instead of it somehow being a police operation???) and for me it marks the point where the creators realized we're mostly here for the cars.

Today 11:41 AM Hi Is the NYT still planning to publish the interview I did with Ross three weeks ago? Today 1:01 PM Hey Seth, we've been working through the edit and it's looking like we aren't going to be able to make it work. We were kind of pummeled by the news cycle in the last 6 weeks and are going to pivot away from this story. Thanks for the time you put into it and for your expertise. Unbelievable cowardice on Ross's part and a giant waste of my time. I'm going to make it known what actually happened: Ross challenged me to a debate on foreign policy, got crushed, and doesn't have the intellectual or journalistic integrity to air the footage.
