funny thing that even before Elon took twitter it had stupid problem because of language recognition: for some reason it used Bulgarian Cyrillic letterforms for other Cyrillic-written languages

also it’s much better to have control over language selection than rely on twitter google embedded interface guess: several times i stumbled across situations where twitter didn’t have a “translate” button because he thought that message was in my systems language (it wasn’t) :(

yeah, they are the same, but separate window means a lot! for example, there’s a case when people write their posts without diacritics for easier writing and twitter embedded google translation goes crazy ;) while in bluesky I can open separate window and try to add diacritics

i’m trying to learn hungarian because my grandparents spoke this language, and now the only way to get over the terror of facing unknown is to submerge myself into language environment

btw translate function here works much better than in modern twitter
