Then the red-flag at Brighton beach. The sea wasn't joking - this was about two hours after I swam when it was still 'safe' and the waves spun me and spat me out pretty quick. I love this wild beach - sky, stones and all.

I would wait - otherwise you’re making changes that might contradict the notes you get & it gets more complicated - also I think making work is like bread making - sometimes you just gotta let it rest, work on something else and come back to it with fresh eyes & see what the shape of it looks like

Back at #charleston - #vanessabell studio with a sculpture of #virginiawoolf & just the most beautiful space. I know #bloomsbury were hyper privileged but she had huge heartbreak too - Bell’s bare walled bedroom after the death of her son is devastating.

I disagree with you so much - it’s a big sprawling ambitious book but I loved the playfulness, words, kindness & bravery - that’s Dave Egger’s story. He’s always been a big ideas writer & I admire that he takes risks. Where the wild things are movie he wrote & people slagged is one of my faves!

Always feel like an iced finger is necessary on a Thursday afternoon. It goes somewhere to helping the brain-rot at this point in the week with a very strong cup of tea! My dad used to slice it & add butter! More words now!

Yeah but it’s the practical. People need financial help changing their boilers, going solar, changing cars or using cheap public transport - for the Labour Party to invest billions into carbon storage which is yet to prove it can scale up is bullshit. Options are necessary.

Yeah, chilling ending. Didn’t Robert Towne, the writer wanted Cross to die & Evelyn to live but Polanski wanted the tragic end - so dark and gets truer every day? Especially with the real water-wars ripping off farmers - all the same old! What a masterpiece!

Thinking about #Chinatown so relevant right now. Maybe it’s the only way to tell #climatechange stories - show how the rich win.
