Asylums, where the mentally ill, disabled, and many many women whose husbands/family just didn't want to deal with them, were placed and frankly, tortured. Lobotomies, lack of any proper nutrition or healthcare, hundreds of patients to very few staff. They made sure the "undesirables" were hidden

With Bird flu on the rise and already so many disabled by long Covid... I just don't see how this isn't eugenics 2.0 in action. Our government has done this kind of crap before in our history... Policy created in order to weed out the "undesirables". Asylums were govt funded...

I'm so angered by these cuts and yet I'm also keenly aware of how hard it was to get access to these programs BEFORE the GOP went after them. When your last hope is nearly impossible to get, and then they make it even harder? With even less funding so those on it can barely use it?

If my mom hadn't died from lack of proper healthcare already these latest Medicare cuts would have cinched it.

My mom depended on Medicare and it took years and years before she was able to qualify despite her declining health, disabilities, and financial instability.
