Just wanted to share some good news that because a good friend of mine and fellow artist spoke up, a local arts guild and their annual market event has put into their bylaws that AI is not allowed. Just one person made a difference by educating the Board on how harmful it is to the arts community.

The future of art in a world with AI? Watching artists do the work, and face to face sales. The value will be in the human interaction, not the object.

Lately I've been thinking a lot about the purpose of art, the conflict of creation and AI, and the political landscape we find ourselves in. We artists make things, and we're not always sure why, but the making is the important part, not the product. We make, we figure it out, then we communicate.

The light in Leith has been really gorgeous recently.

A key friendship moment with my pal Josephine was watching a dumb film about werewolves, where, at one point, two women greet each other in the woods with the most hammed-up hug whilst exclaiming "my dear friend!" We since have greeted each other in this way while pretending we don't know how to hug

So, all those children who were learning to skate can now sit down, rest assured that the robots are doing it perfectly. They can save money and effort.

What's that? The robots have destroyed the ice rink? And used so much energy it started a fire? But look how nicely they did that spin.

And the best thing is, you no longer spend years learning to figure skate! You can just use this robot to do it for you! Think of all the people who wanted to do a triple axel but never had the skills. Now we can all see how well the robot does it for them!

People like to watch figure skaters, right? Well, how much more they will like watching robots that can skate almost perfectly, no more silly falls!
