I will never get over how a handful of tech bros set billions of dollars on fire to build a plagiarism machine that doesn't work and will destroy human society when they could have used a fraction of that money to fund a new golden age of creativity and knowledge.

Just wanted to share some good news that because a good friend of mine and fellow artist spoke up, a local arts guild and their annual market event has put into their bylaws that AI is not allowed. Just one person made a difference by educating the Board on how harmful it is to the arts community.

Lately I've been thinking a lot about the purpose of art, the conflict of creation and AI, and the political landscape we find ourselves in. We artists make things, and we're not always sure why, but the making is the important part, not the product. We make, we figure it out, then we communicate.
