May I suggest that if you don't have someone available to voice your game who naturally finds it easy to do a deep, gravelly voice, maybe just don't have them doing that. I keep hearing these really forced-sounding 'military comander' style voiceovers

There seems to be a new trend with (UK) estate agents that when you call to schedule a viewing, instead of suggesting times like before they now go "I'll have to look into times and call you back". And the attitude of "you never actually own anything, you're just renting it" that pervades seemingly all products now. It didn't have to be this way. Corporations once again got so greedy that they pushed people in the opposite direction than they intended

The thing is, I think streaming etc could have worked just fine, but like so many things it was ruined by corporations getting greedy. Streaming services are getting so expensive, especially when you have to subscribe to about 30 different ones to access everything you want to watch.

It's heartening to see people coming to the realisation that being able to actually have your own copy of something, that can't just be arbitrarily removed by a corporation, is better

I forget who it was but I read recently about the composer of a game soundtrack that's widely considered a classic of VGM, and he didn't know for decades that people liked the music because no one actually said it to him. Tell people you like their work!

I agree, if they release a demo too early then people will just lose interest by the time the game comes out. I've definitely experienced that.

It's one of those things that wouldn't have occurred to me but seems like a really natural pairing now that it's been announced (like the Higurashi guy writing some Silent Hill)

I've been fiddling with Windjammers 2 and apparently I'm going up against Fish from Marillion now?

Personally I'm also not a big fan of how early some games go into nextfest. I don't want to get excited about a game I saw in nextfest, and then it doesn't come out for 3 years 😂

I like nextfest but there are so many games in it now, it's quite overwhelming

I'm not the biggest fan of Ocarina of Time (I think Majora's Mask beats it on almost every front) but stepping out into Hyrule Field for the first time was something. It felt overwhelmingly huge. I stuck to the road because I was too daunted by the scale to just wander off.
