I was just in DC it was literally so clean and friendly and fun. I left (luxury) my car on street parking in the same spot all weekend and nothing happened to it. I don’t remember seeing many homeless people. Maybe 4? No one harassed me. The men were gentlemen. And it was a lovely weekend.

But for the first time this week, I came across someone who seemed to not like him and to be overreacting or embellishing, and then making recommendations about his behavior that I felt like would be detrimental.

And I’m stepping for my child every fucking time.

I was team teacher before I became a parent. But as a parent, theres a bond that you don’t really understand before you have a child. you DO know your child’s emotions and general thought process. When my child misbehaves in school, it’s generally behavior that I’ve seen markers of at home.

I had my first negative interaction with a teacher this wk regarding my child & it definitely requires discernment on the parent’s part when deciding align with the teacher or your child. Like it or not, teachers are humans and can have bias against your child.

Tell them you changed your mind girl. It’s not worth the stress

Racism lol also, you have to understand that African-Americans are our own race of people. “Black” people in other countries are typically Africans who have immigrated there. Race is just a whole different conversation here
