This current tour is almost finished. I’m frequently a bit conflicted because this has definitely been a cool show and band, but definitely an annoying to unpleasant gig at times. I still have some good memories from it.

I gladly would take a day off in New Orleans than one in Houston.

I’ve been digging their opening performance

It’s a very well made movie with exceptional atmosphere, music, and story. It knows how to play quiet moments to create space while also bringing towering peaks of emotion and stakes. It feels like a precursor movie to early Pixar studios (which makes sense given some of the production team)

I especially love what they did for Reptile! It’s a cool gig for sure.

Glad you liked the show! I rather like his set as the opener for NIN. Plus he does well with the band for the songs, especially Closer, that they do together on the B Stage.

While I might not get to attend cons, at least I can hang out with puppies at work.

Well… K-Pop merch sales average $120+ a head and they love the LEDs. They camp in lines days in advance for the merch. I can certainly relate to the times I’ve questioned how I ended up doing a K-Pop tour!

Today was sort of a day teeming with ennui. My first full day off in a few weeks, and it just felt frustratingly numb.

It is amusing and fun that my colleague likes to bring in donuts for us to celebrate her getting laid.

I’m briefly stopped in Idaho. The state home to that senator that made a certain airport bathroom in Minneapolis famous.

Oh good. My show has used our effort in clusterfuck mitigation over the past few days as an excuse to change the schedule tomorrow to demand early rehearsals… I feel that my dumpster fire metaphors would wear thin if used here so I’m going to switch to my Sisyphus ones…

It doesn’t shock me that the airplane WiFi can sometimes be so poor. Mildly amused that the only song that I could stream for a while was “Sexual Healing.” Impressive since I didn’t think I had Marvin Gaye in my library.

And now to go eat a heroic amount of sushi.

So here I am in rural Illinois, waiting to work on my show while I have no idea if the equipment is still in Newark or not.

Life metaphorically seems to chuck pianos at me often enough it might as well be a literal piano this time.
