Annie Harper, a psychology professor, said that the current climate could be an opportunity for things to be better than they were before, not just better than they are now.

Elumn noted that the grant covers a large percentage of her salary and its termination left her feeling uncertain about her future. Elumnβs work is also βdeeply personalβ to her, she said. βMy partner who was incarcerated died in 2020 and I wrote this K in kind of the aftermath of that experience."

The Yale chapter of the American Association of University Professors held a virtual panel Thursday featuring six faculty members who have been affected by President Donald Trumpβs cuts.
