Dominique and I got back yesterday. She has to stay in the bedroom due to a dehumidifier running 24/7 (perfect for sleep) and that's carpet ripped up. She's crying to be let out so I just picked her up and gave her a tour. She is currently grooming on the bed and not crying anymore lol

Dominique keeps softly love biting my calves then leading me towards the door. I guess she has had enough of hotel life. Good news we can go back. Bad news (especially for her) they are going to be doing a bunch of demolition of the affected areas over the next week.

Such a solid lineup of sessions this year (Truthfully that's every year). I really love that there are multiple talks about accessibility outside of the United States. I will definitely be watching in September.

Though it's inconvenient at least it happened on PTO so I don't have to deal with the stress of work while I deal with restitution building owners/management

Up early at a hotel with 10 hours of lofi playlist playing through the tv speakers (don't judge this is how I signal the cat it's bed time at home). I am not even angry, more frazzled. The cat and I are safe. Nothing irreplaceable was damaged and only missing one day of my improv intensive.

Luxury Apartment living
My guest/cat bathroom has turned into an water feature feature. Oh I am so asking for the next 2-3 months rent to be free until I can move. My neighbors have it worst because it's coming into their living sand bedrooms.

Amazon doesn't even make me wait three days to file a refund anymore because they're not supposed to deliver anyone's packages to the mailroom anyway.

Someone in my building keeps stealing my packages and my packages alone when they are in my building's mailroom. My cat's food and contact cleaner. Since I'm on vacation and got the time, I hope they enjoy the glitter that will somehow find itself sealed in Amazon packaging later this week.

Today is the 35th anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act. I was going to write a post commemorating the day, but reading my post on the 32nd anniversary I don't have much to add. Though the current political landscape is dire. It's not much more than three years ago.

Gonna cry because I'm on vacation for two weeks. Next week attending an improv intensive at @risecomedy.bsky.social the week after celebrating my birthday. I rented out an entire former speakeasy/brothel for basically myself. I haven't really invited people. More drinks and hors d'oeuvres for me.

Of all the things and people that get cancelled the one I hope for the most is the Internet. Yeah it's technically how I make my living but it's also how my perceived ops makes theirs as well.

Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's an existential crisis.

Just volunteered to conduct mock interviews for high schoolers in the Bay area. Of course Dominique decides as I ask the last question it was the perfect time to smack the camera and meow at the top of her lungs.
