Oh mate, it baffles me. He's a massive part of 90s/00s and can't see how that wouldn't have reached across the pond.

I'm seeing a lot of Americans seeing the film on a whim and going back through his music which is cool.

We saw him live 3 years ago and he was out of this world. Pure entertainer.

My ma hasn't seen the same film in the cinema twice since the projector broke during The Sixth Sense and she had to go back (after she had the end spoiled for her.)

Today we're back for our 2nd viewing of Better Man. Americans might not have a clue but Pam is obsessed.

How have I not seen this before!? It's silly and a tad bit cheesy at times but Jesus I loved it.

I love Tubi because for every absolute belter of a film there's also stuff even the pound shop won't stock because it's a load of bollocks.

These are all released in the UK in 2025. What a start to the year.

Also it's 3x for Nosferatu. I adore it.

I've decided that when I buy my own cinema, I'm going to hire the aliens from Quiet Place to sit at the front of the screen and let them have free roam.

Feels like this film is 2025's Late Night With The Devil.

There are a lot of benefits to teaching Film Studies.

One of them is getting to watch this as part of my job, as well as introducing it to about 80% of my class who've never seen it before.

You were right, I absolutely loved it. Although I preferred ISTD in terms of story (and probably because it was more horror adjacent) Byung-hun was so much better in this. Pure class. Cheers for the heads-up mate!

Yeah it was amazing. I couldn't understand what they were going to do with the last 90 odd minutes after they met for the first time. Up there with the best 90 mins of thriller/action/horror.

The smile kill was exceptional.

Mate that blew my tits off. I'd have it as up there with some of the best. I've been on a bit of a run with Korean and Indonesian films. Next on the list is The Host and Memories of Murder.

I watched the Oldboy remake before the original and it's probably the best move I've ever made.

I enjoyed the remake because I wasn't aware how subpar it was in comparison and then LOVED the original. I don't think I'll ever watch the remake again (until a Spike Lee retrospective 😂)

Mate it was amazing. One of those I'll watch again and still be hit in a similar way.

I realised at the end I'd had it spoiled for me by a shite American remake with a different name. Obviously erased most of it from my mind because I took all this in like it was new.

Nope has now joined the Two Million Watched Club on Letterboxd 🛸

Thanks to Tyneside Cinema I got to see this in 35mm and I'm going to be totally normal about it.

As good as The Witch. Eggers is on another level.

Let's see if I can get to see it at least once more before it leaves the big screen.

Platinum number 89 is Uncharted 3.

By far the most frustrating of the franchise because it's so desperate to do something different. Loved the story though and yet again, set pieces and settings were insane. Similar trophy list to before with some cool extras.
