Horner wants teachers to be reasonable about money, as the government hands out millions of dollars a day to parents in the hope that they’ll enroll them in private programs that effectively remove them from the public system. Both irresponsible and deceitful.

Not to mention, whatever they’ve paid for the whole Alberta Next panel, nothing more than an exercise in manufactured compliance. Conservatives weren’t necessarily autocrats (past tense intentional); they valued an educated populace whose essential needs were met.

i found it interesting that among UCP supporters, fully 20% believed private and charter schools shouldn’t receive any public funding. Not so monolithic after all.
