This week, I attended my last conference as a PhD student @events.embl.org
4 days of "Theory and concepts in biology", with new topics, new questions, and an amazing community. I was awarded the prize for best poster sponsored by @febsletters.bsky.social 😊

The final day of the excellent Theory and concepts in biology EMBO | EMBL Symposium is about to begin! 🔬Looking forward to a final morning of talks on the dynamics of animal behaviour, unsupervised exploration of morphology from microscopy data, and more.

I think a failure in how we talk about vaccines is in how we don't communicate how they don't all work exactly the same. Some vaccines (like polio vaccine) prevent most individuals from getting polio for life. Others, like covid or even MMR prevent severe disease and foster herd immunity.
