That would actually be co-occurrence, not correlation. (If we observe a trend of better and better things happening as you age, that may become correlation. 🤓) That said, I - and millions of others - understand that it must be causal in this instance and are deeply grateful.

I believe the policy exists for the opposite reason - to prevent retailers from price gouging folks with waivers and no other options in their community. As usual, this administration is perverting equity policy to its own purposes.

Funny thing is - he's the perfect example to make his own case: an immigrant who has significant negative impact on quality of life for people in the US. No more narcissistic billionaire allowed!

As a researcher, I don't find it weird that they ask whether something that a lot of people are hearing was born out in their experience. No doubt assessing whether that messaging is taking hold despite lack of violent incidents - or, conversely, whether facts are disrupting the false narrative.

At what point in your mind would it be appropriate for people to raise concerns that things are heading in a similar direction? At what point should we begin to learn from history vs suggesting that noticing early parallels is some kind of affront to it? We are not there - but it's not impossible.

Not-yet-seated AZ rep makes the point all Ds should be making. The Rs had months to negotiate ACA credits before and did not bother. It's bad faith to claim they will post reopening. There's no universe where that happens if the Ds give up the only leverage they have - however poorly they wield it.

While the admin reopens county offices to hand out subsidies and loans while denying SNAP benefits to feed kids. They know who their constituents are and are working to make sure they feel supported even though they are harmed by the policies.

So she goes on to cite overall inflation numbers - and he repeats the accusation of cherry picking. Then goes back 6 months to find one when CPI improved.

Great convo! I'd also say that, while scheduling and mode flexibility are great, you're still asking them to do basically the same things that just don't seem to work for them. Hopefully some of Annmarie's ideas will reduce barriers for some and you can talk to them about ways to reach others...
