It can be hard to figure out how to resist in a way the makes a difference. I just cancelled a bunch of monthly subscription charges (including all Bezos-related ones) and split the money between the ACLU, news sources with investigative journalism, and targeted programs at my alma mater.

Without Pelosi to think for him, he really can’t function.

It doesn’t actually help the situation, but having conversations with Trump voters similarly affected gives me a perverse joy. Eg “hey, our kids might both have a hard time finding a job because of the Trump budget cuts. Do you have a plan?”

A child I care about is transgender. Transgender youth suicide rates have skyrocketed.   What are you doing to support and protect transgender youth, as well as the schools,teachers, businesses and health care professionals who support them?

There are only a few transgender kids, but there are a lot of us who care for them. Being an ally is usually pretty easy, but now is the time to step up.

Consider asking politicians, school boards, and local community groups and organizations the question I am posting in the comments.
