I’ve decided that the Radiant games are my favorite Fire Emblem games. Path of Radiance on Gamecube and Radiant Dawn on Wii. Two game series. Saves transfers. Awesome characters. No grind.

Played via Retroid Pocket Flip and Dolphin.

Treat Anbernic’s as if they are VERY fragile because they are. Even a slight drop of a few inches will break it.

It’s my favorite device. My Steam Deck hasn’t gotten much use since I picked this up.

No reason not to give it a shot now. It’s a single player Octopath Traveler RPG.

It’s on the app store. Search for Octopath. Also on Android I think. This is a port of the mobile game.

I’ve been playing it on iOS. It’s a fun little time waster but not a new game.

I think she misses the point. Simpler games that focused on story and game play are what we have lost. Back then the game was a product. Now the game is a service. That’s a loss.

Was in Shanghai to attend ChinaJoy. About 40 hours of travel time including waiting at airports. Took Deck, Retroid Flip 2 and Retroid Classic. Here’s my estimated % play time on each:

Steam Deck: 0%
Retroid Flip 2: 25%
Retroid Classic: 75%

Yes… very disappointing!

RP5 or Flip 2 are the way to go. Gorgeous screen. Plays PS2 but also Gamecube, Wii, WiiU and Switch.

You know - the older games weren’t gay. I feel like a perv playing Engage because of all the sexualized youngsters running around. This trend started w/ 3 Houses. Series needs to get back to basics. Newer games are creepy.

I’ve only had bad experiences with Anbernic. Prone to failure. Cheaply made. Tough warranty.

Love the Retroid Flip 2 but you should have included the Retroid Classic too!

What I would give for a new Nintendo 3DS to be released with Streetpass and all of the quirky things we had on it (ammibo too!). The retirment was planned obsolescence. There was nothing wrong with it!

I played 95% through and didn’t finish. That last bit is a GRIND!

I love this handheld. Checked it out at ChinaJoy. It’s convertible from a 16:9 for modern games and dual screen for DS/3DS/WiiU games. Not available yet unfortunately :(

Loving it! I love the older game style. Engage and Three Houses just don’t compare to this beautiful older art and play style :)

I’ve started several but never finished a Dragon Quest game. Got through about 20 hours of DQ3 and DQ11. Maybe half that of DQ VII and VIII.

It looks like he probably imported it from Japan because everything is in Japanese. Except for DQV which is fully playable in English.

I just finished Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. It was released 20 years ago on the Gamecube. The fact that I could play it on an AMOLED 1080p widescreen display on my Retroid Flip 2 is magical. Loved it. Love technology. Love retro gaming.

If you see a file called FBI on the 3DS or Homebrew then it has Custom Firmware installed and probably everything on it are ROMs.
