This is a litmus test for *any* religious movement -- Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, you name it.
If the core of your philosophy is not love and compassion, you are fundamentally misunderstanding what religion is supposed to be.

In Islam, God introduces himself first and foremost as the Most Compassionate and Most Merciful.
The same concepts permeate the Quran, and Prophet Muhammad's teaching, whom God Allah named βProphet of Mercy to the Entire Worldβ
