Season 1 episode honestly didn't cost much less than that. They just had budget problems. Luckily they've gotten much better at managing the budget since then.

No worries. I'm not ruffled.
21.03.2025 05:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Jordan pulled from a lot of references, I think the thing is that Tolkien is just the most familiar. I will say that the early parts of the first book are the most heavy in Tolkien allusions, some of which was just because those were the popular tropes of the era. The show overall toned it down.
21.03.2025 05:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yeah, the lack of mention is interesting. I just have to assume the tower took it and hid it away. It's too dangerous for Mat to be walking around with it.
16.03.2025 18:22 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Season 3, Episode 2 Spoilers in Image: This is made up of five images beginning with Rand and Lan practicing with the sword on their way to the Aiel Waste. Ryma and other Aes Sedai attempting to heal Mat, with beautiful weaves in yellow and blue streaming in and being woven by Ryma. Perrin, Bain & Chiad, and Loial walking out of the Waygate near the Two Rivers, and you can see doors that weren't there before. Elaida Sedai staring to the side in the Hall of the Tower as she is left at the White Tower by Morgase. And Egwene standing in the desert dunes with Bair/Amys of the Wise Ones. It's bright outside and she is dreaming.
One of my favorite parts of S3 of #TheWheelOfTime is the LOOK of what seems like every scene! These are five scenes I think capture major Episode 2 character highlights for Rand, Mat, Perrin, & Egwene, along with Elaida at the White Tower. I love this episode!

I sort of like Asmo but in terms characters or events I worry about getting cut he's low on my list.
16.03.2025 01:02 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0So with all that said my modified best guess for seasons 1-5 is:
1. TEOTW
2. TGH
3. TSR
4. TDR/TFOH/LOC
5. "The Slog" + KOD.
In my opinion rushing to Dumai's Well is a mistake but squishing ACOS though AMOL into a single season would be a bigger mistake.
All 3 could fill their own seasons if needed. Squishing would be rough but possible. Honestly 7 seasons could work quite well. 6 would be... an actual ending, if nothing else.
16.03.2025 01:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think to prevent chaos the plan for seasons 4 and 5 needs to be consistent regardless of whether they get (if they get) 6, 7, or 8 seasons. I think the final seasons, regardless of the numbers are very likely to focus on the Sanderson books.
16.03.2025 01:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0As much as I don't like it, as someone who really loves TFOH and LOC, I think it was likely a choice between giving just one of books 4-6 a full season and TSR was the right choice for that. So I think season 4 will probably be an insane mashup of TDR, TFOH, and LOC.
16.03.2025 01:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0But the trouble is we know that Rafe has plans to do it in 6, 7, or 8 seasons. And my mistake was just assuming he would adapt in a pace for 8 seasons and then wrap it up in 6 or 7 if he had to. And he could do that but it would be reckless. It could mean having to cram 7/8 books into a season 6!
16.03.2025 01:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Things have to be compressed. No matter how you try to configure adapting it in 64 episodes across 8 seasons some stuff has to get adapted in highlights or just broadstrokes. The question is just what? I took it as obvious that you'd want to give the most iconic books (arguably 4-6) the most time.
16.03.2025 01:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0And I think that is a decent pace, especially just looking at the first two seasons. But based on the current season plus things Rafe has said I actually think that's pretty unrealistic.
16.03.2025 01:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0#Wotskies #TheWheelOfTime #WotBookSpoilers
So, I've changed my mind drastically on my thinking in terms of how I think the rest of the show will be paced relative to the books.
Previously my thinking was:
1. TEOTW
2. TGH
3. TSR
4. TFOH/TDR
5. LOC/Slog Pt. 1
6. KOD/TGS/Slog Pt 2
7. TGS/TOM
8. AMOL
I'll take the positivity I can get but it is fascinating that anything short of adapting scenes and dialogue directly from the books read purely as "bad adaptation" to a lot of people.
15.03.2025 19:41 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0He would lose his hilariously false belief that he's Lews Therin's archenemy, which would be a shame.
14.03.2025 22:04 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I don't know if I'm psychologically ready for hot Semirhage. I'm going to need therapy.
14.03.2025 04:27 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think he only names Ishamael. I think aside from Moghedien, Ishamael, and Lanfear that the only other forsaken the show has directly named is Graendal.
09.03.2025 04:05 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0While I feel like the logic makes sense, Moghedien and Semirhage seemed to have statues clearly meant to be each of them.
09.03.2025 04:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yeah, it felt extremely obvious but I think a lot of people were underestimating the show's attention to detail. That combined with the fandom's overwhelming preference for theorizing about everything. If it's a settled fact there's nothing to theorize about.
07.03.2025 09:50 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think if she was going to be in season 3 they would have gone ahead and cast someone to actually play her for the season 2 finale rather than just using an extra. I think she'll be in season 4.
01.03.2025 17:44 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I hope so. She'd probably be the first one I'd keep.
27.02.2025 03:02 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It says March 12 for me. Maybe location matters?
27.02.2025 02:59 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0That's not at all what I was saying. I'm not sure where you are in the series so I didn't want to spoil anything.
26.02.2025 08:50 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think Sanderson just didn't get the character at all and wrote him as if he never had any character development for the entire series.

If youโre planning on watching any Lynch, my advice is: donโt watch any analysis videos, donโt think about what stuff is โsupposedโ to mean, just get your own unique experience from it!!
I think people have become far too concerned with the โcorrectโ interpretations of media. Just experience it!!!
< David Lynch & 6mใป It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch. We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There's a big hole in the world now that he's no longer with us. But, as he would say, "Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole." It's a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way.
Fucking hell
RIP David Lynch
