I'm not a "there should be a law" kinda gal, but FR, there SHOULD be a law that a rep must be sworn in w/in X days of a special election. There should also be a law that once a prez nominates a SCOTUS appointee, the Senate must vote within X days. Relying on "norms" won't work anymore.

And yeah, ERs triage here, too, but if you aren't arresting or bleeding out, how quick you get seen depends a lot on where you are. A wait time of 3-4 hours for non-emergent issues is pretty common for urban hospitals.

We have terrible wait times for both regular and specialty appts. If a kid's got an infection, most peds will try to fit them in w/in 24hrs, but hearing "go to urgent care" is common for things like that. Problem is, for a lot of folks, urgent care = CVS minit clinic, which is absolute shit care.

Wait times are short? Took me 3 months to get in with an ENT to assess my vertigo (which was, ofc, resolved by that point), 2 months to get a 30min video visit with a sleep medicine doc, and my GP is never less than a 6 week wait.
