What it feels like when you're an indie developer on a tiny team juggling multiple roles. Catching your breath for a moment hoping the monkeys don't show up.

Charlotte stands to the left of the main menu text and Tom stands to the right of it. Charlotte slouches and shares a small smile while Tom beams cheerily waving his baking mitt covered left hand. Tom is clearly standing on some kind of platform to be in frame. Behind them is the front counter of Tom's bakery; a glass and wood counter with treats in it, a register, a taller side counter with an old metal pitcher holding sunflowers. Behind the counter is a shelf with jars, various framed signs, a black and white photo of Tom and his wife, the chalkboard menu and a drawing Tom's son made of their family. The wall paper is green with vertical stripes.

What would probably help build interest in Cake Maker is if I showed you all the main menu! This is how it looks in dev build .8.43. It might get a little bit of change for release but here's a peak into Tom's bakery! #gamedev #indiedev #indiegamdev

In the final stages of balancing Cake Maker and it's almost there. Friction is good but I need to see if I can get a little more play with a full tray. Might have to change treat weights.

What an interesting game design insight!

I carry a couple snacks in my car because I used to live somewhere really cold. Now when I run in to a panhandler asking for change I ask "Are you hungry?" If they say yes, I give them my spare granola bar. I feel like I'm in complete agreement with the universe every time I do this. Great feeling.

Should I do a crowdfunding for Cake Maker? An Early Access? I think we'll have the game done by December but it'd be nice to get some income until then and maybe use it as a spring board for promoting the game. Hmm. #gamedev #indiegamedev #independentgamedev #gamedevelpment

100%. I have lost months of my life because I had a picture or story living in my brain that would not let me rest until I birthed it into some kind of form.

I forgot to find a Pause/Unpause sound for the game. Only noticed it as I was checking the sounds and a part of my brain said "Wait, something is missing."
