It's worked out well though cos there's a kind of untapped/latent horror about narrowboats

Amazing game too, I’ll have a go on 2 once I’ve done with 1. If my memory serves the ice (Sweden) rallies are brutally hard 😵 - may be CMR1 tho.

Also TOCA + TOCA 2. Another series that lived up to my expectations. Maybe it’s just a racing game thing 🤔

Fired up DuckStation with my little boy and showed him some of my old favourites. Genuinely might sneak in a few more goes on Colin McRae Rally when he’s in bed 🫣.

So much fun - unlike most old games it still lived up to the rose-tinted memories.

Thank you so much for the feedback. ‘Quiet horror’ is in and of itself a sub-genre of horror (I don’t know til recently) - perhaps it needs to be in quotations to emphasise this point? 🤔

I agree that without this distinction it could sound clumsily worded

Quite pleased with this script I wrote which increases the window light emission as the player moves away.

Trying to create the illusion of eyes adjusting to the darker interior etc.

Could do with some rays to complete the effect I think?
