Visited the Ant exhibit at the #melbournemuseum today… my kids seemed a bit old but it was really awesome - a wonderful sensory experience.

I have been thinking Sustain is the word of 2025 - sustain a work-life harmony, sustain yourself and your family, sustain your team through the breaking down of a toxic workplace and then maybe 2026 will be Restore 🤷🏻‍♀️

2024 in #highered #assessment has been brutal. I hit proper #burnout after loitering close to burning out in 2022 & 2023 - it’s hard to come back from.

I’m really looking forward to refreshing over our summer and coming back to fulfil my life & my work and try to get some kind of harmony.

Q1: A few, but one that sticks out was when I saw a pattern of students putting “doing it right” (evidenced by grades) over embracing the process (learning). I’m a grad faculty member so my goal is to develop critical thinkers. With no grades we can focus on learning. #UngradingChat #SlowChatting

Been a tough few weeks in #higjered #assessment this weeks #shrinking episode & the whole series has been a highlight. I don’t often cry watching tv or movies… a little weepy tonight.

YES THIS. I feel like there is a feedback practice of letting go but I can’t articulate it very positively yet - letting go of my own need to be perfect, to say EVERYTHING, to overwork in the name of supporting students - something along those lines

I’m encouraging others at the #unimelbMDS to adopt this philosophy… I mean in #dental #education we literally sit beside our students to guide them through simulation and patient care. This is a nurturing approach to reaching milestones that I’m sure enhances student’s experiences and abilities
