Went to visit CuddleDad today (as we do every fortnight), and this is what happened when I got home. Pinned under a blanket, with my Monster staring creepily/adoringly up at me.

She didn't even bother to pretend she was mad at me today, I didn't get 5 minutes before she was here 😆

Everett, the MC, is agender, and one of the side characters is trans (though it doesn't exactly come up because everyone already knows, in my head I know they're there)

The reason I'm betting the publisher, or whoever they pay, is using AI, is because even the shortest glance by a human would have made it obvious it's not me just reading the book into a mic, in which case they can fuck all the way the fuck off.

I'm gonna assume AI is to blame for the takedown I just got from Spotify for an episode of my podcast where the story happens to share a name with a book I'd not heard of til today, but having to explain that using the same word for a story that someone used for a book is legal broke my soul a bit.

We are making a Victims' Right to Review of the CPS decision not to charge Graham Linehan re the inciting violence matter.

We cannot say too much at this time, but we have discovered our copious evidence of ongoing harassment was never transmitted to the CPS. This is a solid ground for reopen.

Alongside Amnesty UK, Trans Solidarity Alliance we have called on the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) to strip the EHRC of its 'A' accreditation.

Text reads: Following the Supreme Court Judgement in April, the EHRC has again shown its anti-trans agenda in its ‘interim update’ and guidance set out in its draft Code of Practice. Multiple domestic and international human rights bodies, including 18 UN Independent Experts, the Commissioner for Human Rights for the Council of Europe and the Scottish Human Rights Commission, have raised the alarm about the EHRC’s position. The Minister responsible for approving the updated Code has also publicly expressed her disappointment at how the EHRC is doing its job.

Played The Last Of Us pt1 this week. Seeing at pt2 arrived on PS Plus , and I'm killing time til Outer Worlds is out, it seemed like a good change of pace.

Gonna play Left Behind, then go to pt2.

One day a scene like that fight with David will be the actual death of me tho 😫

Now I wait for all the animals to realise there is a New Soft Blanket and begin queueing for sits.

Evening update: vith arms still sore, Cuddles' hadn't needed icing again though so it's just been ibuprofen when we start to get that pre-fever heat again.

Also I have officially switched to my new winter blanket, so if I wake up with chills again I might not need a sleeping Cuddles to rescue me 😁

Yes, but he's pretty chill about it so, as there's not a point where this character meets new people and socialises with them enough to exchange queerness, it hasn't specifically come up.

Unpleasant, and yet still better than actual covid

Here they are, the covid jab side effects! Both of us hage skre arms, Cuddles' is also swollen, we both have a fever, and I woke up shivering so hard I woke Cuddles up (and she crawled over to put me under her blanket and give cosy snuggles because even in her sleep she's amazing).

Didn't mean to turn this into a whine, but basically everything is hard because my brain is an asshole and its preferred working environment is both a money suck and a pain increaser. So I guess my least favourite part is the bits of my body and bank account that refuse to be useful 🤷

And whereas I used to just take myself to a cafe, because the change of scenery and people existing around me for some reason helps, that's much harder to do due to pain and money problems.

I am trying to do a cafe day a couple of times a month and that's helpful but not enough.

The (many, neverending) days when all I want to do is write or edit, and my brain just sits itself in a corner and refuses to budge, like a small child not wanting to go to school.

Sometimes forcing it does the trick and I'll be able to keep going. Mostly not so much.

I'm not worried, and I understand their need to make sure because that tiny possibility is real. But I'm fully expecting to just have it cut off, probably giving me a lil notch in my ear, like I've been tagged, and then I must resist the urge to poke at it and go "oooh weird" while it heals 😆

Then I'll be sent home to heal as fast as I'm able (which is not very, thanks to diabetes and other stuff) while they check it to ensure it's not cancer. Then they'll discharge me.

If it *is* cancerous we'll all be very surprised, but I trust they'll keep zooming me onwards for treatment if it is.

Basically they're putting "it's almost definitely X thing, but there's a tiny chance it could be cancer" on the referral forms so I'm on the fast track so they can a) remove it and b) biopsy it.

So, end of Nov I'll meet with the plastic surgeon who will examine then decide how to remove it.

They really are zooming me through the waiting list for my ear issue. Was expecting a few weeks wait for an appointment but it arrived today, for the end of November.

I'm aware that they're pushing it through on the very slim chance that it's more than just the Chondrodermatitis nodularis.

It's just a shard of sunlight but it looks like a sword being thrust through form outside this dimension.

Definitely a writing prompt here for me 😁
