The EU is backtracking on its earlier decision to abandon stronger anti-discrimination protections, following a campaign by @ilgaeurope.bsky.social.

Now there will be stronger protections and rights in the EU for LGBT people.

Apparently, my Pectoralis major muscle is almost nonexistent. I can’t even lift 5kg… which is actually ideal for my body image. ☺️

I will personally co-advise a Ph.D. thesis that examines the historical and conceptual parallels between the 50 Shades of Grey fanbase and TERFism in the UK.

Being freshly single makes you notice couples more, it stings a little. When you’re trans, trans couples stand out even more. And when one sits right next to you at your regular cafe spot, deep in conversation about life and transition, it all hits a bit too close.

I could never tell which one of us was outgrowing the other. But we started from the same point. The fact that we failed to acknowledge or even talk about the possibility of drifting apart might be why it was doomed from the start.

My friend said there was probably a competitive vibe running through the entire relationship. He said it showed both in me and in the actions of theirs (that I described). Both of us want to feel unique and irreplaceable to our (now-respective) partners. And there might be some truth to that.
