I'm going to guess it was the trash I just blocked myself and I couldn't seen any reason for the inclusion of the yarn emoji.

A lot of people are using the yarn ball icon to mean they're starting a thread now instead of the spool icon that's generally been the indicator because they think string is just string. Unfortunately most of the fiber feeds include the yarn ball icon as one of their inclusion keywords.

My knowledge of knitting is fairly rudimentary, but "double knit" is when rows of knitting are back to back making a thicker fabric, rather than making anything taller.
Elongated knit stitches make a taller stitch, but it's with a correspondingly larger hole. It's not solid like a DC is.
