The president has drawn fire from some conservative legal scholars
Koch versus Trump: “The power “to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises”, per Article 1, section 8 of the constitution, lies with Congress. The constitution assigns no direct role to presidents…” Koch’s NCLA challenges Trumpism:

I dunno… this kind of “ the dems are just as bad” argument produced an electoral outcome which was really really bad for Palestinians, especially those in the US, didn’t it? thehill.com/opinion/5233...

I haven’t finished reading this primer yet but it seems like a useful short summary. Ilan Pappe also just published a new paperback “A Very Short History of Palestine.” Neither have the depth that Pappe’s longer books have , which I miss on the 1880s-1949 period. But sometimes you need shorter stuf

doesn’t it seem like the attack on birthright citizenship sets up the next attack on free speech: deporting US citizens whose parents were on student or tourist visas when they were born, or who can’t get documents to prove that their parents were US citizens when they were born, etc.??
