Could Austin Wells be the strong side platoon with Ben Rice taking the starts at catcher vs. LHP? Will the pitchers be down for that kind of inconsistent presence behind the plate?

If they cant prey away someone like Wilyer Abreu from Boston then they don't have a choice.

Or suck it up and put Altuve in the outfield with smith/sanchez/Cole taking the other two spots with Yordan at DH.

The Astros constantly double downing on Yordan at DH and Altuve at 2B while still having Paredes on the roster is either troubling for Paredes' #FantasyBaseball value or its just more hot air and Altuve will go to the OF and Paredes will play 2B.

Paredes could play left? Right?

But if all remains constant, he just has to get that barrel rate back.... he will destroy his ADP.

Call me worried about Teoscar Hernandez

With his history of a poor contact%, he has to maintain elite quality of contact numbers.

But the lift has dropped and so has the barrel.

And he cant afford that and neither can #FantasyBaseball managers.

Jackson Holliday had solid statcast numbers in the first half last year that dropped significantly in the 2nd half.

But in that 2nd half he became much more selective at the plate with much better bat-to-ball numbers.

If he can combine the two...... oh boy.

Will Smith became a very selective swinger last year (46% swing% down to 38.8%)

This led to way less chase (19.6% o-sw%) and higher BB% (9.4 -> 14.7%)

He also had his best ISO and OPS since 2021 when he was similarly selective (41% swing%) and career high HR
