But that’s one reason why Farage & his ilk hate the BBC, because it ‘belongs’ to the people & is funded by a licence fee. How anti-capitalist! Advertising can’t make money from it, & it’s not answerable to the usual demands capitalists. ‘Kill it & raise something we can make money from’ they say!

Starmer should have given #RobbieGibb the boot a year ago.

Any comment from #ReformUK ?

Has Farage called for them to be deported yet?

Any mass protests outside Kent police stations / courts threatening to set the buildings on fire?

Or is it only black people that get that treatment?

#ukpolitics How many promises in their manifesto did the Tories fail to deliver? Loads! They didn't build 20 new hospitals or HS2 as a starter. But I don't remember media going at the Tories about what they didn't deliver from their manifesto. Things have changed in the world so tax rises are right.

I keep seeing/hearing versions of the claim that immigration is now in the top three issues for Scots (that specifically from The Scotsman's politics podcast).

The most recent Scottish issue polling was done in the summer, by Ipsos, and immigration wasn't in the top ten.

Where is this coming from?

My colleagues & I have taken a huge gamble to set up @thenerve.news We’re trying to build a new independent publication from the ground up. Social media is our only distribution for now.

Sharing this article in your networks would make a huge difference. Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

The UK economy is a mess - but those who voted for the Tory's austerity programme in 2010 or 2015, or Brexit in 2016, contributed directly to that mess, so, rather than screaming about Rachel Reeves or Keir Starmer and
@UKLabour they should be hanging their heads in shame.

Can’t he be recalled by his constituents for doing bugger all to rectify this? If not, why not?

Nigel Farage is the ‘single greatest threat’ to UK livelihoods, says Rachel Reeves.
Bet she never mentioned Brexit!
How can you criticise the damage Farage will do to the country without criticising the damage he has already inflicted on us?

Quote from Hannah Peaker, deputy chief executive, which reads: “Rachel Reeves is faced with the impossible task of rallying the troops around a failed and unchanging economic strategy today. She talks about the importance of contribution – of people getting back what they put in – yet she continues to target those with the least while the super-rich still aren’t paying their fair share. What we need is an economic reset, and to be freed from the self-imposed fiscal restraints that are holding this country back so that we can drive up living standards for all.”

One of the easiest ways to tackle Farage and Reform, is to showcase the absolute disaster Brexit was and was always going to be. That Labour still seem petrified to even mention the word is beyond me.

I still hold grudges against Davey for 2010-2015, but he really is leading the Lib Dems to be the only party that is making a stance for decency in politics.

And it is a strong attractor for me.

I have strong views on many things, but at heart I want my political party to have a heart of decency.

Farage is the biggest threat our NHS has ever faced.

He wants to replace it with a US-style insurance system.

Most bankruptcies in the US are for unpaid medical bills – of people WITH medical insurance.

What happens to those without medical insurance?

You don't want to know.

The drivel spouted by Ministers just emphasises that Starmer’s Labour is a corpse with no useful purpose.

“..the work I have been doing with the democratic mandate …is building a closer, more constructive relationship….having reset the relationship….building this new strategic partnership.”

The disabled will only be the first.
The elderly. The sick. Those with learning disabilities. He will cut support for all these too.
Goodbye NHS, social care, food banks, child support. All will go.
There will be no safety net for anyone in dire need. God help us all.

Well, well, well, another example of inequality in politics.

If Angela Rayner's tax affairs are to be investigated because of doubt about doing the right thing, then ALL MPs' tax affairs should be equally investigated under the same criteria
