It was initially a bit painful since there was still an area that needed to close out, but I managed it until I thought it was good.
Now, it's a full blown scar tissue. It hurts when it gets hit by sharp corners, but I can relax my forearm just fine.
My shoulder, on the other hand....

It only lasted that long because I didn't have a pressure pad, which is costly. So I used the next best thing: a bandage. This was to mimic the applied pressure.
It was a cumbersome daily activity. But around early this month, I decided the wound healing had progressed enough without a gauze.

I did a DIY wound management system after a bike crash last August.
Since I didn't want to risk increasing AMR chancesby using mucipirin for more than 10 days, I decided to buy medical honey online, along with some medical tape and gauzes. This lasted for more than a month.

Some quick reflection notes from Pope Leo XIV's Dilexi Te:
- to be with the poor is to be one with God
- unfettered capitalism and speculative markets should be replaced
- almsgiving is okay, but emphasis is clear that this is not a substitute for permanent welfare or work
- help those who suffer

Large is an understatement. Both major venues reported thousands in attendance to the point that roads became closed due to the volume of people.
It is unfortunate that the one in Manila, the capital city, ended on a sour note. They were mainly done by an unorganized cohort.

That is the complacency that fascism brings. Don't think about it too much, there's nothing we can do. The aim of fascism is to take away the agency of the people, to learn to be helpless and be apathetic. The only solution given is an iron fist.

The calls for accountability remain:
All those involved must be held accountable.
Jail all corrupt politicians and contractors.
Pass an all-encompassing law forbidding political dynasties.
Corruption must not be normalized.
Fascistic reaction by the state must be rejected. /8

Those accusing the national democratic left of instigating the violencr based on someone wearing a hammer and sickle shirt must stop with such baseless pandering (Harold Cabunoc et al, listen). /7

We are calling for sobriety amidst the anger, fury, confusion, and violence.
The police must not resort to brutality, and all of those involved must be dismissed.
All the injured must be taken care of.
The people are angry. Several thousands took to the streets to condemn PHL corruption. /6

I am wearing a white Bossini Sport shirt with a black-blue-black stripe and carrying ten kilograms worth of rice, wrapped in packaging plastic.
10kg of rice care package yesterday. It ain't obvious, but I experienced verbal abuse about an hour before this.
Lifting rice is easy work. I've carried 25kg upstairs before.

Meanwhile our health secretary declared that those who had road violations during a crash will not be eligible for a subsidized bill (no balance billing as it's called).
We have public health and road safety backwards here. Cars go vroom, bikes are apparently scum, and drivers are kings of the road

Kirk's pattern of normalizing political violence and pairing that with dehumanizing rhetoric is how more political violence is created.
