Devastated about the massive layoffs at BioWare. EA took a beautiful thing and wrecked it by trying to force it into a mould it was ill-suited for. So much skill, talent, and experience wasted. So many unknown worlds banished into darkness.

BlueSky posts by Karin West-Weekes and Patrick Weekes announcing their layoffs from BioWare. Both are now looking for work.

I'll echo Mike here and highly recommend both Karin and Patrick to anyone looking for a fantastic and highly-experienced editor or writer, respectively.

And, just once, I'd like to see a studio announce these kinds of layoffs without making it sound like a cheery plus for the company.

The game isn't above criticism, but the criticism needs to be levied at the studio & corporate management.

The way they mishandled what SHOULD HAVE BEEN a clear slam dunk after the runaway success of Inquisition to chase short-lived multiplayer trends with the IP needs to be studied.
