Will the players be more satisfied by discussing it without abstraction? IMO, combat is often abstracted when relevant because talking out "who would win" is more headache-inducing than fruitful without structure.

interesting point! I tend to assume the difference is more in political leaning. the con-attending population of the furry community is *very* queer, which I think has it lean more left (and therefore more likely to value masking) than the con-attending TTRPG community.

furries continue to kick TTRPG nerds' asses w/r/t con rules; the vendor hall hard-required masks! it was great! gen con & PAXU would never 😔
