And this is where the "content" thing you mentioned stems from. If it's binged and consumed, it's a trendy fad and then on to the next one. That's why we get so many damned tourists nowadays.

I think the "serial" has now become a lost art. When someone plops the whole series, the binge factor comes into play. They have to finish the whole lot in one sitting.

What happened to waiting a week, watching an episode, and sitting on it until next week? I treat most "binge" series that way.

I think that's it. They consider the story a "product" and not a craft. Not a piece of artwork. And when it's not to their liking, they have to be Karens about it and act like the writer/artist killed their dog.

It gets so tiresome seeing this play out.

Dude, that has been my biggest pet peeve lately when "theories" somehow become fact, and word of god doesn't apply and they make whatever show or story that ignores what's before them. It's so out of control lately.
