04.04.2025 13:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0People are saying White Lotus is dull, but I think that's only because they come expecting a mad twist, rather than pay attention to the character buildup. I think Sam Rockwell's monologue a few episodes ago could be shown in writing classes as an example of surprising the audience.
04.04.2025 09:47 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Is there a way of searching the Fringe listings by recently added, so I can go through only the shows that are being added today?
02.04.2025 09:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Lovely piece. I saw Tony's return to improv a few Fringes ago, one of the most chaotic, joyously freeing things I've ever witnessed, he was still so sharp and was a lovely bloke, happy to chat for almost half an hour afterwards about Peter's Friends. Must watch that again soon.

13.01.2025 22:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Never heard that before, great tune! All Alone on Christmas by Darlene Love and the E Street Band is my go to underrated Xmas classic. Hope you and Rachel have a lovely Christmas!
23.12.2024 14:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've just seen Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr play Sgt Pepper and Helter Skelter live. I'm so deliriously happy it feels like my brain's melted.
19.12.2024 23:20 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0About to see the greatest songwriter in the history of recorded music Paul McCartney live!
19.12.2024 18:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It reminded me so much of those brilliant BBC Chronicles of Narnia shows, which isn't surprising as it turns out the same bloke adapted Narnia and Box of Delights.
08.12.2024 18:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't think a 2 hr 40 minute film has ever felt so short, ebullient from beginning to end.

I go deep into Bottom (oo er!) movie GUEST HOUSE PARADISO and tell the story of its creation. filmstories.co.uk/features/rev...
Sorry to hear that, I hope Rachel's OK.
30.11.2024 19:43 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Off to @sohotheatre.bsky.social to see the brilliant Emo Philips!

HAAAAND EYEEEE
Jack Nicholson in a scene from Kubrickβs The Shining, dressed as Del Boy from Only Fools and Horses.
All work and no play makes Jack a Del Boy.
17.11.2024 07:27 β π 253 π 38 π¬ 5 π 0Plemons is phenomenal too, especially with 'How can that be profitable for Frito Lay?', but it is unquestionably McAdams' finest hour.
16.11.2024 22:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0'Oh no, he died!' is one of the best line deliveries in any film in the last decade.
16.11.2024 22:11 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm not going to leave X just yet - I hate that sense of being driven away from a place I used to love. But after one day on here, I already know how much prefer it.
So if you see this and would be kind enough to share it to let people find me, that would be hugely appreciated. Thank you.
I once sold cinema tickets to Nicky Stevens from Brotherhood of Man. How's that for a first proper post on BlueSky!
15.11.2024 23:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm really only using Twitter to keep up to date with comedians and shows but even that will be moot once enough people migrate to this. For posting and engaging it's already so much nicer here.
15.11.2024 19:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Best romcom of recent years? It's still Rye Lane.
15.11.2024 19:20 β π 18 π 2 π¬ 4 π 0A film I continue to bang the drum for. If you're looking for a hilarious and bizarre 12 certificate film - and I watched this with my kids - then Hundreds Of Beavers is quite brilliant.
