Those on this side of the fence tend to underestimate the anxiety that follows the ontological shock experienced by one who has just discovered the UAP rabbit hole, and has begun to analyse the deeper implications.

Nov 13 of 2024 is when the second hearing concerning UAP will be held by the House Oversight Committee. Former Rear Admiral, Tim Gallaudet, is set to testify about incidents that have taken place in our oceans. It's an exciting milestone that justifies the efforts of so many in this arena.

The study of UAP is vexed by bad actors. Lue Elizondo of "Imminent" fame has been caught sharing an untruth: a photo of a UFO that turned out to be a reflection of a chandelier. There cannot be progress in this arena if people betray public curiosity, belittling the phenomenon. May truth prevail

It is claimed, in 1967, that a UFO disabled nuclear missiles at Malmstrom AFB. This has been a talking point in several congressional hearings, and the military personnel still give interviews about the event to this day. If hoax, it is a well orchestrated one. If not, it is just plain terrifying.

JA Hynek was a scientist employed by his government to investigate the extraordinary. He began this career by being dismissive about the cases he investigated, but he'd famously change his stance towards the phenomenon and amass data with rigour. The celestial phenomenon over Basel in 1566 is such a curious incident to have been committed to recorded history. It reports of large black spheres flying about, possibly in battle with one another. And some weather and atmosphere effects like in a modern day sci-fi movie.

The Rendlesham Forest incident of 1980 is well documented by virtue of the people involved - highly trained military personnel who'd have a lot to lose if caught in a lie. The detail about the craft and the sequence of events is eyebrow raising. Not sure if I still don't believe it for fiction tbh.

Parvez Jafari is a retired fighter jet pilot who served for his country, Iran. There are several interviews of him talking about his famous encounter with a UFO over Tehran in 1976. It's the disbelief in his voice that makes his retelling compelling.

One of the reasons that I used to dismiss UAP was that all the reports always seemed to come out of the US. It was humbling to stumble upon the wealth of scientific studies made by other countries in response to encounters within their borders. One such, relevant to the EU, is the Cometa Report.

The "tic-tac" is said to have maneauvered in a manner that is beyond our current understanding of physics. No visible wings, propulsion system or heat signature typical of modern aircraft. I'll start off by saying that I don't know where the truth ends and where fiction begins. It is not my intention to convince anyone of anything. Because, truthfully, I am not entirely convinced myself. But there remains a persistence in some paranormal topics that cannot be explained by science.
