I don't know. I think at point of wealth, it becomes a very small community that allows for certain ideologies to take over rapidly, and that kind of "might makes right" masculinist attitude is something they're already primed for.

There's many issues with tumblr, like all social media, but one of the great undersung features of tumblr is that follows are 90% private. You can't see who follows who or anyone's follower/following count. You only know who follows you and who you're following.
