More evidence.
When John Cappello registered his #NY17 campaign 2 weeks ago, THE VERY FIRST ARTICLE written about it was this local piece centered around the NRCC's response.
In other words:
THE GOP HAD A STATEMENT READY BEFORE DEMS EVEN KNEW ABOUT HIS CANDIDACY.

Normally I welcome R-to-D party switchers, but for those familiar with Mike Lawler and #NY17 politics, this is VERY shady stuff.
A new candidate - John Cappello - has joined the Dem primary here.
The only problem: Until a few days ago he was a registered Republican.

This "hearing" on higher ed today that called the CUNY Chancellor to testify on "antisemitism" was appalling, and Stefanik's questions clearly had it in for my faculty and staff union, the PSC. I'm grateful for PSC President James Davis's thoughtful responses, quoted in this article.

Israel isn't in control of the United States. This is just who the US is and has always been.
Saying we're controlled is just a way of saying we're victims. We're not. We're an imperial power that likes war because it's profitable and enriches our oligarchs.
That's it.

Screenshot of a DM The National Library of Medicine (NLM) will undergo a βrealignmentβ effective July 1. With 40% of staff positions eliminated, the remaining staff and services will focus on core library functions, including Collection Development and Health Data Standards (formerly Bibliographic Services). NCBI will continue operations but with reduced staff and services. Outreach will no longer be considered a core function. The Branch, which oversees NNLM, will be dissolved. NNLM will continue under the Office of Strategic Operations Traveling Exhibits and History Talks are suspended. Exhibits already on loan or scheduled will proceed, but no new programs or outreach initiatives will be offered. No new website curations will be created. MedlinePlus will be maintained as needed, but no new content will be developed.
Sharing this update provided to me directly about the state of NLM and the future of NNLM, traveling exhibits, and, somehow, MedlinePlus.
I am so worried for friends and colleagues, and I'm stuck on that, but it is hard to not want to scream WTF about a MedlinePlus with no new material.
