There’s a good case to be made that the moral panic behind this injustice began here in Toronto with Jesse Singal’s oft-cited Atlantic story on CAMH. I’m begging a mainstream media outlet to revisit it. I promise there are tales to be told.

There is something dishonorable here, but it's not transgender people.

The antagonizing of allies, tariffs on foreign products, and ending immigration make sense when you realize that Trump is an abuser isolating us from the rest of the world. Abusers typically isolate their victims from friends, family, and the outside world. It's this on a societal scale.

Yeah I'm one of those who always falls behind on the spring tasks...

Good:

* Poilievre isn't Prime Minister.
* Poilevre lost his own seat.

Bad:

* Everything has shifted substantially rightward.
* 40% of popular vote and +20 seats for Cons.
* Basically a two-party parliament of centre right and far right.
* Left leaning parties wiped out.

It feels like a lot of people will forget how close things are, how many people actually voted for it, and how precarious things still are for the future...

The NDP has failed miserably at providing a serious third, left, option, for years now. Whatever happens to them tonight is deserved.
